About the TriMedx Foundation - FAQ

Q: Are there specific geographic areas where you provide support?

A: Since many of TriMedx's healthcare partners have established medical mission programs, we often plan our mission support trips around those. However, we do not provide support based on any specific geographic regions. We also provide support to other national programs and even free clinics here in the United States.

Q: Do I have to be an employee of TriMedx to apply to travel on a mission trip?

A: No, you do not have to be an employee to volunteer for a mission trip.

Q: Do I have to have a passport to apply for a trip outside the US?

A: Yes. If you do not have a valid passport, for more information visit: http://travel.state.gov/passport.

Q: What costs does TriMedx cover for TriMedx Associates?

A: The only cost that TriMedx associates incur is the cost of their passport. TriMedx covers the associate’s salary and the associate’s PTO is not impacted. The Foundation covers all other expenses, including immunizations.

Q: What immunizations will I need?

A: Immunizations needed vary by country. More information can be obtained by visiting: http://www2.ncid.cdc.gov/travel/yellowfever/

Q: How are volunteers selected for a mission trip?

A: Volunteers are selected based on expertise and experience.

Q: I would like to volunteer, but I have limited technical skills.

A: Those with medical equipment technical skills are obviously important to our mission, but so are other individuals who just want to help. We could use people with clerical, organizational, and fundraising skills to help us further the work we do.

Q: What type of donations do you accept?

A: Though we appreciate any donation efforts, monetary and specific medical equipment donations are in highest need. Please fill out our donation form if you would like to donate financially or have medical equipment that could be used by our mission sites.
