About the TriMedx Foundation - History

Our Beginning

In a small village in Haiti, long awaited medical equipment had arrived at the Center for the Rural Development of Milot (CRUDEM). Sadly, the donated equipment was damaged during the extensive trip from the U.S., making it inoperable when it arrived. CRUDEM hospital did not have the expertise to make the needed repairs.

Sister Martha Barlai-Kovach, D.C., from CRUDEM, contacted TriMedx, a healthcare equipment services company, and asked for help. It was on that day that our good work began as TriMedx funded a mission of hope, sending a team of medical equipment technicians to the poorest nation in the world.

Through the CRUDEM project, we learned of the urgent need for functioning medical equipment in countries like Haiti. TriMedx was determined to create a foundation to meet this need, and in 2004, the TriMedx Foundation was formed.

Our Mission Continues

Since 2004, we’ve supported 54 mission projects in 18 countries across the globe. These continued mission trips led to the establishment of a medical equipment repair and processing center in 2007.
