TRIMEDX Foundation Launches Technician Portal

For the last two years, the TRIMEDX Foundation associates and volunteers have partnered in developing a new resource to better support the needs of their partners in health around the world. This online platform, the TRIMEDX Foundation Technician Portal, acts as a central hub for ongoing technical support, education, and collaboration with TRIMEDX Foundation global biomedical technician partners.

Goals for the TRIMEDX Foundation Technician Portal include:

  • Empowering self-sufficiency by providing partners with tools, training, and resources that enable technicians to troubleshoot and maintain medical equipment with confidence.
  • Extending mission impact by supporting hospitals and clinics year-round, not only during mission trip visits, offering remote assistance and on-demand learning.
  • Building a global support network that connects local technicians with volunteer experts through structured remote troubleshooting and the Virtual Volunteer Program.
  • Growing technical capacity by delivering quality training that strengthens foundational skills and expands knowledge across a variety of medical technologies.

The TRIMEDX Foundation Technician Portal launched in January with a successful initial training session. According to Kevin Collazzo, TRIMEDX Foundation Technical Services Manager, “Thirteen technicians representing a diverse set of global healthcare facility partners attended our initial training, engaging in hands-on demonstrations of portal features, while sharing valuable feedback to help shape future sessions. This new tool will help us better serve our partners in between medical mission trips, streamline troubleshooting and training requests, and help us better prepare for on-site visits by Foundation volunteers.”

Through the TRIMEDX Foundation Technician Portal, partners will have access to:

  • Remote technical assistance where partners can submit support requests and receive remote guidance from expert TRIMEDX Foundation volunteers.
  • Educational training materials and medical device resources including medical device troubleshooting checklists, guides, and references materials that are regularly updated.
  • Live and recorded training sessions designed to enhance technical knowledge and confidence including medical device troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, best safety practices, and professional upskilling.

TRIMEDX Foundation looks forward to expanding functionality by launching online technical trainings, providing access to a recorded resource library, addressing common challenges through future trainings, and improving services through a streamlined service request process that connects on-site partners with volunteer experts who can provide remote guidance.

The TRIMEDX Foundation Technician Portal provides ease of access to TRIMEDX Foundation partner sites, allowing the technicians working at our partner hospitals and health clinics around the world better access to quality educational resources and technical guidance.
