Together, volunteers dedicated more than 534 hours in service to our medical partners around the world and throughout the United States. The Sobering Center - Austin, Texas
Kris Richart* (TRIMEDX) and Mark Hernandez* (TRIMEDX) visited The Sobering Center in Austin, Texas to volunteer 4 hours of time to service diagnostic medical equipment and patient monitoring systems. The Sobering Center enhances public health and safety by providing a safe place for publicly intoxicated individuals to sober up as an alternative to the emergency room or jail, and has served over 15,000 clients in Austin and Travis County.
Options & Claris Health - La Puente & Los Angeles, California
TRIMEDX Foundation volunteer Anup Chhetri (Dignity Health) returned to two free health clinics in California to provide technical services for the clinics medical devices, including ultrasound equipment. Options and Claris Health clinics offer family planning referrals and sexual health services. Anup volunteered 8 hours of his time serving the two clinics.
Hope Clinic & Vida Cares - Menasha, Appleton, Oshkosh, & Fond du Lac, Wisconsin
Tim Nagel (TRIMEDX), Kevin Sabel* (TRIMEDX), and Nick Salm* (TRIMEDX) traveled to two new TRIMEDX Foundation partners in Wisconsin, Hope Clinic and Vida Cares. Volunteers provided 17 hours of service, including expert diagnostic equipment repair and calibration. Hope Clinic offers free healthcare and social services, supporting about 700 patients. Vida Cares has served the Fox Valley community for over 40 years, providing free medical care and parent support services.
Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach - Springfield, Illinois
Charlie Hanover (TRIMEDX – Retired) and Bill Dixon (Kaiser Permanente – Retired) traveled to the Medical Surplus Recovery Organization (MSRO), Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach (HSMO), to assess donated medical devices and provide repairs and diagnostic testing. The duo provided 38 hours of volunteer service over the course of three days in the warehouse.
Seeds of Change - Indianapolis, Indiana*
Jordan Hoosier* (TRIMEDX) and Tony Hill* (TRIMEDX) visited Seeds of Change in Indianapolis, IN for the first time, beginning a new partnership with the healthcare clinic. Seeds of Change provides free medical, dental, visual, and auditory care to low-income, uninsured or underinsured women and their families. Volunteers spent 8.5 hours calibrating equipment to ensure the clinic would be ready for new patients ahead of its grand opening later that month.
Emerging Health Initiatives Warehouse - Hebron, Maryland*
Sandra Ruiz (TRIMEDX), Jose Flores* (TRIMEDX), and George Eware (TRIMEDX) traveled to a warehouse in Maryland in support of Emerging Health Initiatives -- a nonprofit and new TRIMEDX Foundation partner with a mission to provide rural, northwestern Tanzania with accessible, compassionate, and quality health services. The trio assessed donated medical equipment to make sure the devices were in good working order and ready for international shipment 8,000 miles away.
