Where in the World is TRIMEDX Foundation: Q3 International Trips Highlight
The TRIMEDX Foundation sent 29 volunteers on 11 medical mission trips. Together, volunteers dedicated more than 534 hours in service to our medical partners around the world and throughout the United States. Tebow CURE Children's Hospital - Davao City, Philippines
Kevin Collazo (TRIMEDX), David Wallace (TRIMEDX), Walton James (Medxcel), Michael Newton (Medxcel), and Jennifer Lambert (TRIMEDX) traveled in August to Davao City, Philippines. Together, they supported medical equipment repair, facility management upgrades, and a hospital administrative process audit at the hospital. TRIMEDX Foundation Chairman of the Board, Tim McGeath (TRIMEDX – Retired), joined the volunteer team and met with the hospital director and key administrators to learn more how the foundation can support the unique needs of the teaching hospital. Together, the team (pictured above) provided 210 hours of volunteer service.
CURE Children’s Hospital of Uganda– Mbale, Uganda
Monica Becerra (Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital), Jose Rubio* (TRIMEDX), Steve Link (Cullman Electric), Jeff Odenbaugh* (Medxcel), and Ashley Casilli (TRIMEDX) traveled to Mbale, Uganda to serve our partners at the CURE Children's Hospital. The Team Uganda biomed team helped staff calibrate equipment and set-up the hospital's new operating room theater. The facilities team addressed electrical systems concerns while the admin team conducted a hospital flow audit. Together, the team provided 162 hours of volunteer service over the 9-day trip.
Access to Health Zambia (CMMB) - Lusaka, Zambia*
TRIMEDX Foundation sent its first team of volunteers to Access to Health Zambia, a local nonprofit focused on improving the lives of women, mothers, adolescents, and children in Zambia through context-responsive health interventions. Kevin Collazo (TRIMEDX), Monica Becerra (Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital), and Tim Reitz (TRIMEDX) provided expert training to staff to ensure diagnostic medical equipment accuracy and improve patient outcomes. Together the team provided 70 volunteer hours.
