Where in the World is the TRIMEDX Foundation? 2024 Q1 Recap

The TRIMEDX Foundation celebrated our 20th anniversary by soaring the skies and completing five short-term medical mission trips since the beginning of the year. 12 volunteers completed 5 international trips between January and March 2024.

CURE Malawi

The TRIMEDX Foundation started the year at Beit-CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi. Foundation BMET Specialist Kevin Collazo led volunteers Rohn Barthelmy and Amanda Armstrong (pictured in her grey TRIMEDX Foundation polo with staff from Beit-CURE Children’s Hospital of Malawi) on the first short-term medical mission trip of the year. The volunteer team provided technical support repairing medical equipment, including X-RAY and anesthesia machines, developed an online organizational system to digitize the hospital’s analog medical records, and provided biomed trainings for hospital staff. Read about Amanda's experience on her second international volunteer trip here on our blog.

The team supported the arrival of a shipping container full of medical supplies and equipment and spread joy to the young patients.
