Earlier this year, a TRIMEDX Foundation volunteer team made up of Brandy Attaway (TRIMEDX), Javier Naranjo (TRIMEDX), Michael O'Brien (Retired – Kaiser Permanente), and Nehal Siddig (TRIMEDX) arrived at AIC-CURE Children’s Hospital of Kenya in Kijabe, Kenya.
While Dan, Jimmie, and Joshua were wrapping up their work in Sierra Leone, Steve Link (Cullman Electric), Jerry Maddox (Medxcel), Daniel Monarrez (TRIMEDX), and Eustace Ricks (TRIMEDX) arrived in East Africa, about 4,500 miles away, in Mbale, Uganda, to provide technical expertise and support to the staff at CURE Children’s Hospital of Uganda.
The TRIMEDX Foundation is pleased to report this year’s annual Mission on the Greens was a tremendous success! Together we raised a record-breaking $214,000 from sponsorships and super ticket sales, surpassing last year by $24,000.
Dan Angst (TRIMEDX), Jimmie Norman (TRIMEDX), and Joshua Scott (TRIMEDX) kicked of the TRIMEDX Foundation’s Q2 volunteer trips flying to Lungi, Sierra Leone in support of the Rashid Conteh Memorial Foundation. The three-man volunteer team worked alongside Dr. Hassan Sesay, traveling to Bai Bureh Memorial Hospital and Evans Medical Center, about 45 miles away, and volunteering 72 hours.
The TRIMEDX Foundation sent 36 volunteers on 10 medical mission trips. Together, volunteers dedicated more than 526 hours in service to our medical partners across the African continent and throughout the U.S. Pacific Northwest and Midwest. From June 2nd to June 20th, the TRIMEDX Foundation launched its annual Spring Pledge Drive. During this three-week period, the number of monthly donors increased to 10% of all TRIMEDX associates. On behalf of the TRIMEDX Foundation associates, the board of directors, and volunteers – thank you for committing to support our mission of raising the standard of healthcare in the communities we serve worldwide.
The TRIMEDX Foundation supports international and domestic healthcare partners to raise the standard of care. Local volunteer team trips are often shorter, but more frequent, to support our state-side partners’ medical equipment, facilities, and organizational needs.
Kyle Havens (TRIMEDX), Ashley Casilli (TRIMEDX), Charlie Hanover (Retired – TRIMEDX), Brandon Plank (GE Healthcare), Jose Gonzalez (TRIMEDX), and Jonathan MarcAurele (TRIMEDX) volunteered more than 90 hours of service to our Midwestern healthcare partners.
Josetta Caudill (TRIMEDX), Ellis Coleman (TRIMEDX), Jerry Maddox (Medxcel), and Tim Reitz (TRIMEDX) flew to Lusaka, Zambia, in February to support Beit-CURE Hospital of Zambia as the TRIMEDX Foundation’s second volunteer team of 2025. Together the team tackled facility evaluations, biomed training, and hospital patient flow but also developed closer relationships with the staff and their mission having opportunities to join staff at the on-site chapel and ward fellowship sessions (see video below).
At the TRIMEDX Foundation, we believe in using our skills to serve others. Jeff Ruiz, a TRIMEDX Senior Site Manager at Sparrow Health System and foundation volunteer, embodies this spirit of service.
The TRIMEDX Foundation began 2025 sending volunteer veterans Bill Dixon (Retired – Kaiser Permante), Greg Taylor (Retired – Medxcel), and Ta Vannarath (Medxcel) to Kenya Relief’s Brase Medical Clinic in Migori, Kenya. The team was among the first volunteers to arrive and quickly went to work to ensure the clinic’s facilities and medical equipment were ready to receive patients awaiting critical healthcare services.
